This 8 pager - first of two parts - was originally intended for the digital collection of Spaced - but I hit writers block. If I can get a few views I might be encouraged to finish!

Odds and Ends, mostly Odd
What have I done in the past 5 years since I forgot I had a blog? Here's a stream of consciousness collection (note, some xmas cards from the year I lost my Fiancé
Catching up on Christmas PAst
I have not kept the blog up to date -- but trying to rectify that. Here are some Xmas images, please note I lost my fiancé in october 2019... hence the sympathy cards.
OH DEAR! It's been many years ignoring my blog. Time to play catch up.
I was working on a new Spaced story to be included in the COMPLETELY SPACED digital edition. It is incomplete, and thanks to the Amazon-Comixoligy kerfuffle I do not know if it will be availbale for purchase again.
So for fun here's some sketches and finals of the unpublished story.

Merry Christmas preview
Wanted to share my brand new drawing where it wouldn't spoil the final card release. This time it's hand drawn in ink, scanned and colored in Photoshop.
Say hello to Bugs side of the card

The Turkey Process
Sorry to have been so neglectful of my blog. What I've been drawing can't all be shared, and in fact I haven't been drawing all that much.
Here for those who like such things, is the process I stumble through when I create a color drawing...
It starts of course with pencil, paper and vague idea. I try first to capture the "emotion" of the scene in quick sketches till I see one I like.. I did this one first:
I took a second try and wasn't crazy about it.
I didn't really like that better so I went back to original and changed the poses, ending up with this final "rough" with better arm gestures and background critters

Then, I place the scan of the pencils into illustrator and ink them using a Wacom Intuos 4 tablet.
Finished inks are then exported to Photoshop and colored as shown in the animated GIF below.
Exported photoshop image goes back to illustrator for final text. So there you go!
