More sketches for you!

Here's another gallery of sketchbook pages available at the $30 pledge level for Lionheart Tales. I am still avoiding story-spoiling sketches, which means avoiding a lot of the funniest drawings. If you see any you like here, drop me a line and I'll put them aside for you. Remember, $30 gets you THREE PAGES of drawings, signed and personalized if you wish. I've included some warmup sketches that do not relate to the book, but feature Fission Chicken and Usagi Yojimbo.

Sketches and such

With the Indiegogo campaign coming along fine, I thought I'd post some sketchbook scans for those contributors considering the 3 sketches for $30 level. All pages have several drawings on them - in a variety of stages. I'll keep posting examples here to help pledgers pick a page...

Here are a few scans from chapter one.

The Cover Materializes

Goodness, it's been a LONG  time since I posted. Well, here's a good reason: the semifinal version of the cover of the Lionheart special I will be self publishing via crowd funding. Though a "crowd" of supporters is kind of unlikely.
This is a semifinal, as in the Step Away From It For A While process I go through. I need a day to look it over, like it or tweak it, Try not to tweak it too much, or overdo it. Maybe even simplify it?? Ahhh photoshop is a boon and a curse at the same time.
It's almost time to set up the funding site, as all that remains is for me to create two new pages (Crazy Bob? Ed the Grocer?), color a breathtaking Stan Sakai original, and get the digital versions ready.
More details in the coming month.

BOB IS BACK

Well, here it is. I may yet revise a panel or two. But I can't resist sharing this at this ready-to-read stage. It's been twenty plus years folks, be kind. This was written in the early 90s. And drawn in the evenings after work.

Watch Me Draw Again

More vanity blogging - tried to record about 15 minutes of drawing but I guess there's a limit to the length of screen cap this lil mac can handle. I make plenty of mis strokes here but you'll also see me make good use of the "surprises" a tablet can give a leaden hand like mine!

Then a little peek at the black and toning process, all done in layers so it's infinitely editable, and never actually done.

Just for fun, you know.
